Lovely brides

Last summer, a couple of beautiful brides asked Pretty Bird to help with their wedding day jewelry. The weddings themselves couldn’t have been more different: a classic, big city hotel wedding in Chicago, and a down-to-earth outdoor wedding at a ski resort in Montana. The brides, though, both wanted  jewelry that not only looked great, but would support their energy and spirit on the big day. We think they are both gorgeous!

You’re a genius

What comes to mind when someone says the word genius? Albert Einstein, right? Those black and white images of him with the crazy hair have been incorporated into my consciousness.

But genius comes in many guises. I have a friend who is a genius when it comes to business: she has launched at least six different companies, all of which have been successful. I know someone who can listen for five minutes to a long-standing challenge and come up with a dozen unique ways to tackle the problem. I’ve watched my dad rack up 70 points using three Scrabble tiles. A client of mine can speak, off the cuff and in complete paragraphs, to an auditorium full of people. My grandmother could peel a tomato in one big long curly strip.
